Millers Road in Brooklyn was named after my great grand father Thomas Miller who arrived from Durham, England to find his fortune in the goldfields of Victoria. In 1867 he purchased a farm on what would become Millers Road, grew hay and started the ‘Half Moon Inn’ which was used by immigrants heading to the goldfields. It later on became the Half Moon Caravan Park which my father created and owned. A place to accommodate the 1956 Olympic Games visitors.
Now all is but history and it still continues as Millers Road and so does my creative journey.
On completing a BA in Graphic Design at Swinburne I enjoyed a three decade career creating campaigns for leading advertising agencies in Melbourne as an Art Director, designer, illustrator and artist.
Now I live my rural dream and pursue my practice of painting, printmaking, drawing and designing with the same focus, professionalism and determination.
Residing in the lush hills of South Gippsland my studio overlooks a drop dead inspiring landscape.
And if I’m not busy designing and creating works of art I’m out and about riding my beloved buckskin horse in the countryside.
